In a dazzling display of talent at The Star in Frisco, Ohio State tight end commit Damarion Witten emerged as the MVP of the U.S. Army Bowl on Monday night. Despite his Black team’s loss to the Gold team in a high-scoring affair, Witten’s performance was nothing short of spectacular.

Hailing from Glenville High School in Cleveland, the four-star prospect showcased why the Buckeye faithful are so eagerly anticipating his arrival. He caught four passes for 96 yards and scored three touchdowns. Witten’s outstanding contribution on the field added another layer to his already impressive senior season, where he played a pivotal role in leading Glenville to its second consecutive state championship.

The Army Bowl MVP honor marks a fitting conclusion to Witten’s high school football journey, setting the stage for his next chapter after having signed with Ohio State on National Signing Day.

“It was never a doubt who he was, what he could do,” Ginn said. “He’s a freak of nature. And they don’t come that often.” 

Ginn even went as far as to compare him to Travis Kelce. And from what we’ve seen in the Army Bowl, the comparison may be spot on.
