Boys Recap – USYS National League Regional Showcase NJ 2024


EDP Soccer hosted the second half of the USYS National League Regional Showcase NJ, on April 27-28, featuring teams in the 15U-19U Boys age groups. Over 190 Boys teams were in action at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, N.J., with teams from five different USYS National League Conferences and Elite 64 all attending. National League Conferences in attendance included Sunshine, New England, North Atlantic, Mid Atlantic, and South Atlantic. College coaches from prominent Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 schools were all on hand to watch top National League Players.

19U Boys
The 19U Boys Platinum Division featured teams from Sunshine Conference, Mid Atlantic Conference, South Atlantic Conference, and Elite 64. On day one, four out of six games were decided by one goal or less, with Medford Strikers 2006, Next Level Soccer Ajax 05/06 All Stars, and Cedar Stars Academy North 05/06B Elite 64 heading into day two all with a chance to finish top of the table. On Sunday, Medford Strikers defeated NLS 2-0 to finish 3-0-0 and clinch the division. In the Gold Division, five out of six teams all finished with one win out of three games, and Lancaster Football Club U19 won the division going 2-0-1.  
17U Boys 
The 17U Boys Platinum Division saw OBGC Revolution 2007 open the weekend with a 1-1 draw against Canadian side East York 2007 Boys. They followed that draw with a tough 1-0 win over a strong Met Oval Academy 2007 Boys East side. They closed the weekend with a great 4-1 win over Cedar Stars Academy North 07B Elite 64, who are currently in first place in Elite 64 Northeast Division but was without star player Amadou Hann on the second day of the competition. In the Gold Division, both White Plains Academy National 2007 and UCFC Sampdoria finished 2-0-1, with the match between the two sides ending in a 1-1 draw
16U Boys 
The 16U Boys Platinum Division had PDA Hibernian Elite 64 08B continue its great run of form this season by going 3-0-0. Currently 7-1-2 in Elite 64, they scored nine goals over the weekend. The team recorded wins of 4-1 over JFC Dortmund, 3-1 over PSC Academy 2008 Boys Blue, and 2-1 over SJFC Cobras Elite 2008. In the Gold Division PDA Hibernian Danubia also went 3-0-0, highlighted by their opening 1-0 win over PA Rush 2008 Rush Boys.
15U Boys 
The 15U Boys Platinum Division winners were Long Island SC Boys 2009 Academy, who kept two clean sheets in the three matches. They opened with a 0-0 draw against HEX FC Dominion USYS 09B and then defeated HVAA Wolves 2009 2-1. They closed the weekend with a 2-0 win over NLSA 2009 Boys USYS.
