Trevion Greer: Under the Radar

Friday night was a statement game for Newport Greyhounds running back Trevion Greer — and Signing Day Sports scout Lawson Beavers was in the stands to witness it firsthand.

In just 13 carries, the senior exploded for 247 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, powering Newport to a commanding 38–6 victory over Marked Tree

.

What makes the performance even more impressive?

Greer put up those numbers while sitting out nearly half of the third quarter and not taking a single rep in the fourth.

Greer is no stranger to big plays. Last season, while at Riverview (Searcy, AR), he racked up 1,452 rushing yards, 6 rushing scores, 5 receiving touchdowns, and even housed a punt return. His versatility and breakaway speed have already set him apart as one of Arkansas’ most exciting playmakers.

That track speed is real — Greer is an All-State sprinter in the 100m dash and clocks a blazing 4.4 in the 40-yard dash. At 5’8”, 180 pounds, he’s a compact, powerful runner who can beat defenders both with strength between the tackles and with burst to the outside.

Currently holding offers from Ottawa Braves (NAIA) and Hampden-Sydney University (D3), Greer has the résumé and athleticism to earn attention from many more programs.

One thing is certain: college coaches need to have Trevion Greer on their radar.
