Finding Confidence

Hillstock put those skills to the test at combines during the off-season. Facing some of the best prospects in the region, he proved his ability to separate with quickness, create space with sharp routes, and finish plays with dependable hands.

But what made the day even more meaningful was the mindset shift it sparked.

“Before the combines, I wasn’t fully confident in my abilities,” Hillstock admits. “Being named a top performer (Prep Redzone) gave me the belief that I could compete with anyone.”

That belief has fueled the next stage of his career — transforming him from a talented receiver into a leader with the confidence to keep climbing.

Building a Resume of Excellence

From Easley High’s MVP to invites on national stages, Hillstock’s rise has been steady and undeniable. His 2024 season showcased his ability to take over games: 9 appearances, 44 receptions for 631 yards, 5 touchdowns, and over 700 all-purpose yards. He earned multiple Player of the Week honors, along with recognition as one of Pickens County’s best.

Now, 2025 has already brought new milestones:

» Carolinas Coaches Combine – Selected

» Hawaii Tiki Bowl – Invitee

» Blue-Grey All-American Bowl – Invitee

» Colossal Youth Athlete of the Year – Nominee

» High School Football America Academic All-America Team

» Prep RedZone – Top Performer

More Than Just Numbers

At 5’9”, Hillstock isn’t the biggest target, but recruiters quickly notice what makes him different: efficiency in routes, strong hands in traffic, and an ability to make explosive plays at crucial moments. Combined with his academic achievements and character off the field, he’s proving to be the type of recruit who raises the standard in every room he’s in.

Looking Ahead

For Hillstock, football is about more than highlight reels and awards — it’s about setting a tone for the future. With his academics lined up and his game continuing to expand, he’s positioning himself as a player colleges can trust to perform at the next level.

And if the ball is in the air on Friday night in Easley? Odds are, everyone already knows who’s coming down with it.
